About The Project

Elegant and sophisticated, the Brisbane Magistrates Court stands as a landmark achievement in civic architecture and one of the largest infrastructure projects to incorporate the Queensland Government’s Art Built-in policy. The building features a rich array of public artworks, a philosophy that seamlessly extends to its sculptural precast façade elements.

Professionally executed and meticulously detailed, the high-quality precast façade showcases a blend of polished and sandblasted finishes, with a series of angled and tapered sunblades that elevate the building’s visual impact. These architectural elements not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the building’s refined aesthetic.

Celebrated for its design excellence, the courthouse earned multiple design awards upon completion. Today, it remains a testament to the enduring grandeur and possibility of high-class architectural precast façades—a benchmark for public infrastructure that merges utility with artistic expression.
