The Sydney Football Stadium (SFS), commercially known as Allianz Stadium, is a state-of-the-art, $828 million venue officially opened in August 2022—delivered ahead of schedule and on budget.

Precast Concrete played a key role in the project, manufacturing 900 high-quality prestressed seating plats.

To achieve a superior finish, each plat was poured upside down using custom-built moulds crafted by our in-house mould experts. Although this required each plat to be rotated into its final orientation before delivery, it ensured that the visible surfaces had an exceptional off-form finish—far exceeding Class 1C standards.

One of the key innovations that helped accelerate installation was the development of double plats, combining two seating units into a single precast element. While these double plats required more complex moulds, the approach significantly improved manufacturing efficiency and halved the number of lifts required on site.

Through this project, Precast Concrete has further cemented its reputation as the partner of choice for stadia projects across Australia.
